Lincolnshire Marketing WAS proud to sponsor Lincoln Business Club

Lincolnshire Marketing - a Lincoln-based marketing agency was the most recent sponsor of the recent August meeting held at the impressive Bomber Command Centre where founder - Tom Stansfield gave a short presentation providing 10 tips to grow your business organically.

The Lincoln Business Club is a voluntary organisation and one of the best-attended networking groups in Lincoln. It provides members with an opportunity to network, learn from each other and share best practice.

As a marketing agency that works with businesses of all sizes across Lincolnshire, we were proud to sponsor the event and Tom's presentation certainly seemed to go down well with those in attendance!

Whilst many in the room were taking notes or photographs of the slides Tom went into more detail on the points sharing tips for implementing them. As such we will go into more detail here:

Google Business Profiles

It is important to optimise your Google Business Profile as it is one of the first places potential customers will look when they search for your business. You can add opening hours, photos, contact information and even post updates on your Business Profile.

Utilise your CRM

If you are not utilising a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system then you could be missing out on valuable insights into your customers. A CRM system can help you to track customer interactions, understand their needs and even automate marketing messages.

Be consistent on social media

Social media is a great way to connect with potential and current customers. However, it is important to be consistent with your posts and ensure that the content is relevant to your audience.

Work towards key objectives

Every business should have key objectives that they are working towards. Once you have set your objectives, you can create a plan of action to help you achieve them and this will align with your marketing strategy.

Start with the end in mind

When planning any activity, it is important to start with the end goal in mind. This will help you to define the key objectives and will give you focus as you grow. One school of thought is that if you're looking to sell your business, start with this mind.

Undertake market research

Before embarking on any marketing activity, it is important to undertake market research. This will help you to understand your target audience, their needs and how best to reach them. It will also keep you up to date with what competitors are doing.

Know your data

Data is a valuable asset for any business and can help you to make informed decisions about your marketing strategy. It is important to track your marketing activity and understand what is working well and where there is room for improvement.

Fish where the fish are

When planning your marketing activity, it is important to consider where your target audience is most likely to be. This will help you to focus your efforts in the right place and ensure that you are reaching those who are mostly likely to purchase your goods or services.

Build your digital footprint

In today's digital world, it is important to have a strong online presence. This can be achieved by ensuring that your website is optimised for search engines, you are active on social media and you have a strong blog. Video marketing is another way to help build your digital footprint.

Don't stop

The marketing landscape is constantly changing and as such it is important to keep up to date with new trends and technologies. However, it is also important not to get too caught up in the latest shiny object and to focus on what is going to work best for your business.

We hope that you found these tips useful and that you will implement them into your own marketing strategy. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your marketing plans, please get in touch.
