Lincolnshire Marketing Charity Bowling Night a Striking Success!

Last night, the Lincolnshire Marketing Bowling Competition 2024 lit up Hollywood Bowl in Lincoln as 20 bowlers joined forces for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and philanthropy. Thanks to the incredible spirit of the participants and supporters, the event raised over £350 for Cash for Kids, a charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children in the UK.

The event, held on Thursday 21st November, saw teams take to the lanes for two exciting games, with combined scores determining the winners. Tie-breakers would have added extra tension, with rankings based on strikes and spares in the event of a draw but this wasn’t necessary. The coveted trophies, generously sponsored by One Degree Training and Coaching (Andy Nisevic), went home with the victorious team - APT Legal - The Fantastic 4, while the team finishing last received a light-hearted booby prize as Bowling Bums hastily put together by Kai from Lincoln City!

Massive thanks to our sponsors - Andy Nisevic and One Degree Ltd for sponsoring our trophies which ironically went to our other sponsor (fine’s sponsor) - Carrie from APT Legal.

Adding a touch of hilarity, "fines" were introduced for playful infractions throughout the games, capped at £10 per player, with proceeds also going directly to Cash for Kids. Carrie from APT Legal was fines sponsor, ensuring no bowler escaped without a grin (or a fine). Someone described her as having gone mad with the whiteboard even giving fines to her own team for backchat… Thanks must go to her as we’ve raised a great amount for charity.

Founder of Lincolnshire Marketing, Tom Stansfield, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support:
"This event, organised because an old school friend (and a great bowler) drove past me and bibbed his horn. I then thought about how we could organise an event like this for charity. This showcased the amazing community spirit of Lincolnshire businesses. Raising over £350 for such a vital cause while enjoying a night of bowling and laughter is a win for everyone involved. A huge thank you to our sponsors, participants, and all those who contributed to making this night a roaring success. I’d particularly like to thank all team captains for their work in bringing this together and of course Andy and Carrie for their ongoing support."

The event highlighted not just the joy of bowling but also the power of community in coming together for a great cause.
